Traitors in the House
So the House of Representatives voted on a similar "Bailout"
bill that the
Senate voted on a few days earlier.
The main difference between the two bills was the ridiculous amount
of "pork" which was added to essentially
bribe
those representatives who
initially voted against the
bill (H.R. 3997)
to switch votes. This tactic worked like a charm as the
House passed
H.R. 1424
263 to 171

"no" vote to a "yes" vote after the "pork"
